Signal tape
Signal tape

ALU-Standard signal tapes are used in veneer splicing machines to join veneer strips with induction-capable veneer rolls. This is a composite material made of high-quality fleece and aluminium foil, with a factory-applied thermosetting adhesive on one side. IMAWELL’s TEXIMA signal tape is approximately 280 μm thick. Widths of 20 mm and 42 mm are available ex stock and other sizes can be supplied on request.

The signal tape enables production of veneer rolls of fixed cut lengths and cutting may be triggered by induction. Please note, when using aluminium signal tapes, that moisture will cause aluminium to rapidly oxidise. This may discolour the veneer by reacting with tannic acid in the wood. It is therefore necessary to use laminating adhesives that are suitable for aluminium and to ensure adequate drying in the course of further processing.

Why do customers opt for our signal tape?
